Semper Fi Team,
I am excited and honored to have earned your trust to be elected as the 12th Commandant of L/Cpl Christopher Adlesperger Detachment #1316 for fiscal year 2026. I look forward to the upcoming year working with our members, our Executive Committee, and our Board of Trustees for a year of growth, camaraderie, and stewardship. The basis of the Marine Corps League is to preserve the traditions of the Marine Corps, strengthen the fraternity of Marines, FMF Naval personnel, Marine families, and to foster Americanism through patriotic volunteerism.
These attributes are the foundation for our Detachment going forward. My goal is to foster a new generation of leadership in the Detachment and the Marine Corps League, through positive reinforcement of our core values and oath of membership. We have an outstanding group of members, both Marine and Associates, that truly go above and beyond for the Detachment, the Community, and Veterans of all branches. My vision is to expand on our current endeavors to create a seamless flow of activities for both community and social events.
We all entered the Marine Corps League voluntarily to share in the fellowship and camaraderie of other Marine’s and Veteran’s of similar insight. We go above and beyond because its second nature to us. With that in mind, I am requesting all of our members to step up and support our Detachment actively. Fundraisers and Volunteer work are done to help support the needs of veterans and the community at large and we need each of you to make them a success. Do your part as often as you can.
Lastly, I wish to thank Past Commandant Frankie Rue for his leadership over the past two years, and the entire Board of Trustees and Executive Committee for all their hard work and attention to detail in keeping the Detachment on track. Semper Fidelis, Brother and Sister Marines and Associates, each of you have exemplified the true meaning of always faithful!
Michael J. Haas - 12th Commandant Detachment 1316
