Commandant Frank J. Rue
Semper Fi Team,
I feel so very proud to have been elected as your 11th Commandant of L/Cpl. Christopher
Adlesperger, Detachment 1316. Our Detachment, founded during the beginning of 2008, has
gotten better and stronger. My hope is with such a foundation that we can continue as United
States Marines and Associate members to say focused and honor our history as well as our
future.
My name is Frankie J. Rue, I joined the Marine Corps in 1974 and was Honorably discharged in
1980. I am very proud to be counted with the other Marines who served during the Vietnam era.
I joined the MCL in December 2008. I served Detachment 1316 as past Commandant and
Pound Keeper of the Devil Dogs. At the department level I serve presently as Pack Leader of the
Devil Dogs.
Our mission in 2024 as a Detachment will be to continue to support our marines and veterans
and to pursue community outreach opportunities such as working in Rio Rancho with the Mayor
in Parades, Veteran’s Day actives, Memorial Day, and volunteering with the VAMC in support of
their veterans’ programs. We hope to continue to raise funds via the Raffle which was started by
our previous Commandant Mike Haas and his team (proceeds are donated to numerous charities
in our area). Finally, we will continue hosting the greatest Marine Corps Ball in the State of New
Mexico.
In conclusion, I look forward to working with all of you to continue and grow our league.
Together we can do great things for our fellow veterans, our community and our State.
